The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released for public comment a draft of its latest update to its cybersecurity framework quick-start guide.
Published at the end of August, “Quick-Start Guide for Using CSF 2.0 to Improve Management of Emerging Cybersecurity Risks” introduces readers to the topic of emerging cybersecurity risks and provides examples of specific practices presented in version 2.0 of NIST’s Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) that can be applied to mitigate those risks.
The Quick-Start Guide also encourages users to integrate their cybersecurity practices directly into their organization’s risk management program to help proactively address cybersecurity risks.
The draft of NIST’s CSF 2.0 Quick-Start Guide is available at the NIST website at https://csrc.nist.gov/pubs/sp/1331/ipd. Public comments on the proposed draft can be submitted via email (csf@nist.gov) through the end of the day on September 21st.
