FCC Continues Its Deregulatory Efforts

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is continuing its efforts to remove what it believes to be unnecessary rules and regulations under the scope of its “Delete, Delete, Delete” initiative.

According to an Order, the Commission’s latest action removes from its regulations nearly 3000 words and 41 Internet-related rules or requirements adopted under the Biden Administration.

Specifically, the Order removes what the Commission believes to be “irrelevant and burdensome restrictions” on broadband providers adopted under the previous Administration’s “Restore Net Neutrality” initiative. That initiative was struck down by the federal Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals earlier this year.
